Whether your vehicle is young or old, sleek and beautiful or rugged and rustic or simply just the wheels you rely on every day to get you where you need to go, we understand that it is an important, valuable and often much relied upon asset in your life and we will look after it as if it were one of our own.

Our technician Chris doesn’t just work on cars for a job, he truly loves them… and yes in that deeply nerdy way that people get when they are truly passionate about something! Chris will always take the time to explain the work being carried out in detail (if you are interested) and the pros and cons of the various options and why he recommends a particular part or brand, or if you are busy and just want the quick facts he will be happy to just keep it simple and get you back on the road as quickly as possible.

We use interior seat protectors and body panel protection covers on all of the vehicles in our workshop.

Technical Skills

Having competent technical skills, up to date knowledge and solid hands-on experience translates into positive outcomes for customers – and we are very big believers in positive outcomes!


Great technical skills mean being able to diagnose issues effectively and to carry out work efficiently....i.e. getting the job done, doing it right and saving our customer’s money by doing it as quickly as possible.


Our technician Chris has over 18 years' experience working in the automotive and marine industry and he is very passionate about ensuring his technical skills and product knowledge are current and applicable by staying abreast of the latest industry developments. 


All of our staff regularly participate in activities to continually build on their knowledge and skills through attending courses, participating in online webinars or conducting research into new products in the market.

Workmanship & Quality Parts

We are fanatical about the quality of our workmanship! Quality workmanship means not only fitting quality parts but also ensuring they are fitted correctly and with excellent attention to detail.


As a universal standard in our workshop:

  • All electrical joins are crimped and soldered

  • All electrical cable is run through conduit split tubing (wiring is hidden as well as protected)

  • We use colour coded heat shrink to protect all joins


We only supply and fit well-made and reliable brands. We extensively research what’s available in the market in order to source the best products... and no, that doesn’t always mean they are the most expensive! We source our parts from leading suppliers in our industry and in most cases we can generally have parts delivered to our workshop within a 24 hour time frame.

Coast Custom Auto Electrics is only a small workshop but we are big on providing great customer service for our customers....That's easy to say, but what exactly does that mean? 


We are all about friendly service! You will find our workshop has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and we want our customers to feel that we are approachable to ensure they know how much we appreciate their business, no matter how big or small their job is!


We believe in building relationships with our customers by listening carefully to their requirements and making sure we understand what they want from us and offering them personalised and attentive service.


Like most people we have also had the unpleasant experience of going to a workshop to collect our vehicle and being completely shell-shocked by a big bill... and we never want our customers to have that experience! While it is not always possible to provide an exact quotation when it comes to fixing automotive problems, we always promise to:

  • Communicate clearly with you about our pricing

  • Work within the budget you have given us

  • Explain what your options are and offer pricing alternatives if they are available

  • Never sell you services you don’t need or use inferior parts on your vehicle

  • Complete the job in as an efficient time frame as possible to ensure labour costs don’t unnecessarily escalate

  • Keep you well informed about how your job is progressing and always contact you in advance if additional costs arise to obtain your approval before proceeding with the work
