Terms and Conditions

1. General

These terms and conditions form part of the contract (“agreement”) between Coast Custom 12 Volt (ABN 5085 742 8531) (referred to as “we” or “us”) and the customer (referred to as “you”). This agreement is established when you accept our quote for the services we will perform or when we agree to sell products to you. You acknowledge that these terms and conditions, along with the quote acceptance, constitute the entire agreement between you and us. The scope and terms of the services provided (including prices and quotes) may change based on updated instructions from you. By purchasing products and/or services from us, you agree to be bound by this agreement. The term “products” includes all parts or products fitted as part of the services we provide or sold to you, unless otherwise specified.

2. Pricing

All our prices and quotes include GST unless stated otherwise. A quote or price is only binding once it has been accepted by you. The scope and pricing of the quote may change based on updated instructions from you.

3. Booking and Payment Policy

  • For jobs over $5000, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure pricing and a booking date.

  • All invoices must be paid in full upon invoice being received.

  • Payments can be made via direct deposit or credit card.

4. Marketing Disclaimer

  • We frequently take photos and videos of our customers' vehicles for marketing and promotional purposes.

  • We strive to avoid capturing number plates, but they may occasionally be visible.

  • If you prefer your vehicle not to be used in our marketing materials, please inform our team.

  • We may place a small sticker on your vehicle to showcase our services. If you prefer not to have a sticker, please let us know.


5. Warranty Information

  • Workmanship: limited lifetime warranty

  • Parts: Warranties vary by manufacturer:

    • General Products: 12 months

    • Victron: 5 years

    • PowerPaul Australia: 6 years

    • Redarc: 2 years

    • Exotronic: 5 years


6. Australia-Wide Guarantee

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This warranty will not apply to:

  • Normal wear and tear;

  • Goods that have reached the end of their natural service life;

  • Defects resulting from:

    • Alteration, accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect;

    • Unsafe or inappropriate driving practices; or

    • Repairs or modifications by an unauthorised service agent.

We will repair, exchange, or resupply (at our discretion) the product or service provided the claim falls within the conditions set out in this document.

7. Maintenance Responsibility

  • It is your responsibility as a caravan/vehicle owner to regularly inspect your system for any damage, wear, tear, or visible faults.

  • We strongly suggest performing a system check at least once a year to ensure everything is secure and functioning properly.

  • We offer a 12-month caravan/vehicle "health check" for $150. This is particularly crucial if you have driven your vehicle/caravan off-road, as rough road conditions can loosen items over time.

8. Liability

We will not be liable to you or any third party for any injury, death, loss, or damage to any person or property caused by the use of products sold by us, or by any services performed by us, except where liability is imposed upon us by law.

9. Authority In Respect Of The Vehicle

You authorise us to perform any actions we consider necessary to provide you with the products and/or services described in the quote for your vehicle, including:

  • Accessing and entering the vehicle;

  • Working on your vehicle;

  • Creating a suitable workspace or environment to work on your vehicle.

We do not accept goods for safekeeping and will not be liable for any loss of, or damage to, articles alleged to have been left with us by you or left in your vehicle, however such loss or damage was caused.
